On 15th of October we had our last trip of the season. It was rather low water level but that made the trip more challenging and technical. Doing trips at this time of the year gives you more of a distinctive view of Iceland , more like a word "Iceland".

Well we call it last trip of the season but our river manager Anup Gurung is on a mission to go rafting in the East Glacial River on beginning of December if the river will still be flowing. Come back again to know if October 15th was the last trip or not!!!

All our guides have left in search for sun and warmness. Office staff are left behind and it's some time painful to see our base empty and quiet. We miss our international staff. We miss their smily face, their company and even their loud music in the boat house ;) Summer 2008 is gone but left behind happiness, gave us new experience, new ideas, new friends and unforgetable memories. We would like to thank you all once again for making this summer successful and hope to see you all again sooner or later.

Actually the raftingseason started already a few days ago! The weather was beautiful sunny and a southwind gave ideal conditions for rafting. For Easter the weather forecast is not very promising, but as soon as it becomes warmer again, we will go ahead! Happy Easter to all of you and see you soon in our boathouse in Varmahlíð!
